Workplace Health Solutions, along with Bailey, Haskell and LaLonde and Benefit Consulting Group, are fast becoming regional leaders in controlling employee costs while maximizing benefits and employee productivity. WHS will focus on mitigating injury and occupational health cost through utilization of a comprehensive process and network.

Typically when brokers attempt to market a new account, they focus primarily on property and casualty and their ability to negotiate better rates in the marketplace. Most brokers pay little attention to workers compensation due to the lower commission rates as well as their own lack of knowledge of the product.

The answer to lowering workers compensation costs for an employer isn't getting more prices from underwriters. Instead, it's reducing injuries and lost days of work. These costs are controllable. Cultural changes are necessary within the employer. This can be done by providing a comprehensive approach to the workplace by integrating the following areas:

  • Immediate intervention to all work related injuries. This would include an on-line injury report and telephone triage of injuries to all clients.

  • Each client will be approached individually to establish urgent care relationships, with timely feedback on the status of the injured worker. In addition, we establish convenient locations for diagnostic testing, prescription filling and most importantly, relationships with specialists that believe in active return to work program.

WHS is the center point to all of these services. we would create a call center and an on-line injury reporting system. We facilitate the communication link between the employer, the claims administrator, the case management provider, and the treatment provider.

Our proprietary provider network will be created for all client locations through careful due diligence couple with a detailed credentialing. Our primary goal is to partner with providers that will provide us with timely appointments, timely and objective feedback on diagnosis and treatment protocol that return the injured worker to the workplace as quickly as possible. The network would include orthopedists, physical therapy, case management, and injury response clinics.
